Cleveland had just two guards on the active roster following the NFL’s opt-out deadline, so Fair provides a much-needed reinforcement to the position.
Fair, 6-2 and 315 pounds, signed with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Temple following this past year’s draft. However, Kansas City waived him at the end of July.
Fair played in 46 games during his time at Temple and started the vast majority of those at left guard.
