Browns Worked Out CBs Charles Gaines & Demetrius McCray

Aaron Wilson reports that the Rams worked out cornerbacks Charles Gaines and Demetrius McCray on Monday.

Gaines, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,402,136 contract when the Browns elected to cut him loose coming out of the preseason.

Gaines spent a good portion of the 2015 season on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

In 2015, Gaines appeared in five games for the Browns and recorded 15 tackles, a forced fumble and two pass defenses.

McCray, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He spent three years in Jacksonville before he was, unfortunately, among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

In 2015, McCray appeared in 14 games for the Jaguars and recorded 25 tackles and no interceptions.
