Thornton had a brief stint with the Ravens before joining the Texans towards the end of the season. Houston brought Thornton back on a futures contract this past January before waiving him at the start of the season.
During his senior year at Southern Utah, Thornton recorded 38 tackles, 11 pass defenses, and three interceptions over the course of 11 games.
