Browns Worked Out WR Brice Butler & RB Ralph Webb

According to Howard Balzer, the Cleveland Browns brought in two free agents for workouts this week including WR Brice Butler and RB Ralph Webb.

Butler, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Raiders back in 2013. He spent two years in Oakland before he was traded to the Cowboys for the 2015 season.

The Cowboys re-signed Butler to a one-year contract last year and he finished out the season in Dallas. Butler joined the Cardinals back in April on a two-year contract, but was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

Butler returned to the Cowboys for a brief stint earlier this season. Since becoming a free agent, he has met with the Jets, Texans, and Colts but was never offered a contract.

In 2017, Butler appeared in 13 games for the Cowboys and caught 15 passes for 317 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

Webb, 23, wound up signing on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt back in May. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract but was unfortunately cut loosing coming out of the preseason.

The Patriots later signed Webb to their practice squad only to release him shortly afterward.

Webb has worked out for the Packers, Bengals, Texans, and Jets recently, but left each session without a contract.

During his four-year college career at Vanderbilt, Webb rushed for 4,178 yards on 931 carries (4.5 YPC) to go along with 68 receptions for 572 yards receiving and 35 total touchdowns over the course of 49 games.
