ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Tampa Buccaneers have claimed DT Albert Haynesworth off of waivers this afternoon.
The Patriots were believed to have released Haynesworth because of his performance as well as the fact the he’ll make $1 million bonus if he plays in 20% of the teams plays this season.
Tampa lost Gerald McCoy for the season last week so the addition of Haynesworth and John McCargo should give them some options on the interior of the defensive line which has been hurting throughout the season.
