The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed OT Cole Gardner and CB Maurice Fleming on injured reserve Sunday after they passed through waivers unclaimed.
The Bucs will likely waive both players from injured reserve in the coming weeks.
Fleming, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in May. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.
During his college career, Fleming recorded 78 tackles, two tackles for a loss, an interception, two forced fumbles, a recovery and 15 pass defenses over the course of 27 games.
