The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced the signing of DE Martin Ifedi on Friday.
The team placed DE George Johnson on injured reserve to create a roster spot for Ifedi.
Ifedi, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams during the 2015 draft. He was unable to make the team coming out of the preseason and later signed on to the Buccaneers’ practice in November.
Tampa Bay elected to bring Ifedi back on a future/reserve contract, but ultimately waived him shortly after this year’s draft.
During his college career at Memphis, Ifedi recorded 139 tackles, 20 sacks, four forced fumbles, three recoveries, and four pass defenses.
