ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Buccaneers have signed former Lions CB Eric Wright to a  five-year that’s worth $37.5 million and includes $15.5 million guarantees.
The Buccaneers needed to address the cornerback position and Wright should at the very least help them out but he’s coming off of a pretty bad season in which he was ranked as the #105 best cornerback by Pro Football Focus. This is a lot of money to be spending on someone that’s capable of getting beat often.
