The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they’ve signed DL Nick Thurman to a contract on Thursday.
Thurman, 23, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Houston back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Texans, but was waived as the team cut their roster down to 53 players.
Thurman sat out the entire 2018 season.
During his college career at Houston, Thurman recorded 93 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble, two recoveries and four pass defenses over the course of 34 games and four seasons.
