Buccaneers Sign OT Kyler Kerbyson, Waive/Injured OT Kelby Johnson

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced that they’ve signed OT Kyler Kerbyson to a contract and waived OT Kelby Johnson with an injury designation.

Should Johnson clear waivers tomorrow, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list.

Kerbyson, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Tennessee a few months ago, but signed on with the Patriots a few days after. Unfortunately, the Patriots cut Kerbyson loose a few weeks ago.

During his college career, Kerbyson was a two-year starter who started all 13 games at left tackle during his senior season. Before that, Kerbyson worked as a right and left tackles, as well as left guard.
