The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived DE Deondre Barnett from injured reserve with a settlement on Wednesday.
Barnett wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Illinois shortly after this year’s draft. Unfortunately, the Buccaneers waived him with an injury designation a few weeks ago and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.
During his college career at SIU, Barnett recorded 65 tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, two pass defenses, three forced fumbles, a recovery and a blocked kick over the course of two seasons and 16 games.
