Buccaneers Waive DE Evan Panfil From Injured Reserve

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived DE Evan Panfil from injured reserve on Thursday.

Panfil, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May. He was set to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract when the Buccaneers cut him loose during the preseason with an injury designation.

After clearing waivers, Panfil reverted the Bucs’ injured reserve list.

During his four-year college career, Panfil recorded 75 tackles, 20.5 tackles for a loss, nine sacks and force fumble over the course of 33 games.
