The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially waived OT Cole Gardner from injured reserve on Friday.
Gardner, 24, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan back in 2017. He agreed to a three-year, $1.66 million with the Buccaneers but was waived with an injury designation during the preseason and spent the entire season on the Bucs’ injured reserve list.
Unfortunately for Gardner, Tampa Bay waived with an injury designation for the second straight year and he once again reverted to their injured reserve list.
During his four-year college career at EMU, Gardner appeared in 47 games and actually caught 10 passes for 95 yards receiving one touchdown.
