The Buccaneers announced that theyโve waived/injured second-year WR Robert Herron, CB Leonard Johnson and G Josh Allen as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players.
- The Bucs also cut P Michael Koenen, which had been previously reported.
- DT Akeem Spence was placed on the PUP list.
Tampa Bay has already parted ways with:
- RB Dominique Brown
- DT Quayshawne Buckle
- OL Antoine Everett
- LS Brandon Hartson
- S Kimario McFadden
- P Karl Schmitz
- CB Al-Hajj Shabazz
- DE George Uko
- DE Jamal Young
- RB Joey Iosefa
Herron, 23, was take in sixth round of last yearโs draft by the Buccaneers, so itโs interesting to see them move on so quickly.
Herron has another three years remaining on his four-year, $2.332 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $510,00 for the 2015 season.
In 2014, Herron appeared in eight games for the Bucs and caught six passes for 58 yards receiving and a touchdown.
