Buccaneers Waive WR Freddie Martino

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Monday that they’ve waived WR Freddie Martino to make room for WR Mike Evans, who has been reinstated from suspension.

Martino, 26, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of North Greenville back in 2014. He spent over a year in Atlanta before signing on with the Eagles during the 2015 preseason.

Philadelphia brought Martin back on a future/reserve contract only to cut him loose shortly after last year’s draft. Martino signed on with the Bucs soon after and promoted him to their active roster last week.

In 2016, Martino appeared in 13 games for the Buccaneers and caught eight passes for 142 yards receiving and a touchdown.
