Buccaneers WR Bryant Mitchell Suffers Torn Achilles

According to Greg Auman, Buccaneers WR Bryant Mitchell suffered a torn Achilles during Friday’s preseason game.

You can expect the Buccaneers to place Mitchell on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Mitchell, 26, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern State back in 2016. He later signed on with the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos and spent three years in Canada.

The Cardinals signed Mitchell to a futures contract this past January. However, Arizona cut him loose back in May and he later caught on with the Buccaneers.

For his career, Mitchell has caught 97 passes for 1,418 yards receiving and six touchdowns over the course of 19 games.
