The Tampa Bay Buccaneers appear to be ready to part with WR Mark Clayton and maybe even running back Derrick Ward. The news on Ward comes from Ira Kaufman of the Tampa Tribune who says that Kareem Huggins looks like the better running back and with Cadillac Williams nearing 100%, Ward has become more of a financial burden.
The team gave Ward a four-year, $17 million which included $6 million in guaranteed money. Ward was their big free-agent signing from last year but was only able to produce 409-yards. With all things considered, the decision to cut Ward would be another blemish on GM Mark Dominik record.
