C.J. Spiller was thought to be the last first-round pick to sign but that did not end up being the case. Tim Graham of ESPN is reporting that he has reached a five-year deal with the Bills that is worth $25 million dollar with $20.5 of that guaranteed. The contact is said to contain bonuses that can raise the deal to a total of $37.5 million depending on his production.
The good news is that Spiller didn’t miss all that much time and will now be able to compete for carries with Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch. Jackson has been looking pretty good in early workouts so it’s unlikely at this point that Spiller will be anymore than the teams #2 by the start of the NFL season.
