Ian Rapoport reports that the Cardinals are, in fact, expected to sign OLB Terrell Suggs.
This comes shortly after Jason La Canfora reported that Suggs had informed the Ravens that he will be moving on to another team.
Prior reports mentioned that possibility of Suggs departing for a deal with the Cardinals, given that he has a home in Arizona.
Suggs, 36, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2003. He played out the final year of his five-year, $28.5 million contract that included $16 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $6.5 million for the 2018 season.
Suggs was an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Suggs appeared in 16 games for the Ravens and recorded 34 tackles, seven sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery returned for a touchdown and six pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 40 edge rusher out of 107 qualifying players.
We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
