Cardinals Interviewed Saints Asst. HC Dan Campbell Saturday

Adam Schefter reports that Saints assistant HC/TEs coach Dan Campbell interviewed for the Cardinals’ head-coaching job on Saturday.

Campbell has also interviewed with the Browns and Packers.

The list of reported interviews for the Cardinals includes:

  1. Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy (Declined)
  2. Former Dolphins HC Adam Gase (Interviewed)
  3. Former Lions and Colts HC Jim Caldwell (Interviewed)
  4. Saints assistant HC/TEs coach Dan Campbell (Interviewed)
  5. Rams QBs coach Zac Taylor (Interviewed)
  6. USC OC Kliff Kingsbury (Interested)

Cambell interviewed for a few jobs last year including Colts’ head coach job and the Vikings’ offensive coordinator position.

Campbell, 42, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 1999. He played 11 seasons for the Giants, Cowboys, Lions and Saints.

Campbell began his coaching career with the Dolphins as an interim in 2010 and actually took over for Joe Philbin as the team’s interim head coach. The Saints hired him a year later as their assistant head coach/TEs coach.
