Cardinals Release Veteran ILB Darryl Sharpton

The Arizona Cardinals have released veteran ILB Darryl Sharpton on Wednesday, according to Darren Urban.

Sharpton, 27, is a former fourth round pick of the Texans back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract with Houston before later signing on with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent in March of last year.

Unfortunately for Sharpton, he was released at the start of the season, but was able catch on with the Bears a few days later.

The Cardinals elected to sign Sharpton to a contract shortly after this year’s draft following a workout.

In 2014, Sharpton appeared in five games and recorded 15 tackles and a pass defense.
