Cardinals Sign P Ryan Quigley, Place LB Alani Fua On I.R.

The Arizona Cardinals have signed P Ryan Quigley and placed LB Alani Fua on injured reserve with a knee injury, per Mike Jurecki.

  • The Cardinals also signed LS Aaron Brewer and LB Japlo Bartu, which had been previously reported.

Quigley, 26, originally signed on with the Bears as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2012. He lasted just a few months in Chicago before catching on with the Jets in 2013.

After three years with the Jets, Quigley signed a one-year contract with the Eagles a few months ago. However, Philadelphia cut him loose in late May.

Quigley later caught on with the Jaguars but was unfortunately cut loose during the final week of the preseason.

In 2015, Quigley appeared in 15 games for the Jets and totaled 2,855 punt yards to go along with a 36.5 net punting average and 27 punts downed inside the 20-yard line.
