Cardinals Sign WR Jaron Brown To One-Year Extension

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals have signed WR Jaron Brown to a one-year extension that will keep him under team control through the 2017 season.

Brown, 26, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson back in 2013. He played out his rookie contract before returning to the Cardinals on a one-year restricted tender worth $1.671 million back in April.

The Cardinals, unfortunately, placed Brown on injured reserve back in October after he suffered a torn ACL.

In 2016, Brown appeared in seven games and caught 11 passes for 187 yards receiving and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 57 receiver out of 108 qualifying players.

We’ll have contract details regarding Brown’s extension posted as they’re available.
