The Arizona Cardinals officially waived rookie WR Jermiah Braswell on Monday.
This comes a day after the news surfaced that Braswell was arrested for a DUI after allegedly driving his car into Lake Erie on Saturday, per Corey Vallas.
Police responded to a call about a car driving at high speeds that went off the embankment and drove into the lake. They arrived to find an orange Camero in the water.
Witnesses say the driver was still in the car trying to drive it in the water. Braswell allegedly told officers he was stuck and did not know what happened.
Police say his speech was slurred and after he submitted to a field sobriety test, his blood-alcohol level was deemed above the legal limit.
No other people were injured and Braswell was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
Braswell, 6-0 and 210 pounds, signed with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Youngstown State following the 2020 NFL Draft.
During his four-year college career, Braswell recorded 51 catches for 986 yards and seven touchdowns in 40 career games.
