According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Cardinals also worked out former Cowboys WR Terrance Williams on Monday along with Michael Crabtree and Kwad Smith.
Crabtree reportedly emerged as the most impressive receiver and the two sides began discussing a contract before talks broke down over salary compensation.
Williams, 29, is a former third-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2013. He played out the final year of his rookie contract and made a base salary of $1.686 million for the 2016 season before signing a four-year, $17 million contract that included $9.5 million guaranteed.
Williams was set to make a base salary of $3.5 million for the 2019 season when the Cowboys declined his option.
In 2018, Williams appeared in three games for the Cowboys and caught two passes for 18 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
