Michael Ghelken of the Union-Tribune San Diego reports that Chargers K Nate Kaeding will “absolutely” kick again this season.
Kaeding mentioned that his current status is “day to day,” after he recently visited with a specialist.
“Luckily, it is more of a hiccup than anything,” he said. “It’s definitely frustrating and disappointing, especially coming back so strong and healthy from last year.”

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports that he is hearing that the San Diego Chargers could end up placing K Nate Kaeding on season-ending injured reserve list.
Kevin Acee of Union-Tribune San Diego adds that Kaeding met with a specialist and is status moving forward is “week to week.” Acee also mentioned that there’s “no room for 2 kickers.”
Kaeding is dealing with a groin injury, which forced the team to re-sign K Nick Novak last week. Kaeding has a pretty serious history of injuries, so there’s actually a pretty good chance that he will be allowed to leave during the offseason, since he will be a free agent.
