Chargers OL Ryan Miller Out For The Year, OL Jeff Baca Promoted

Michael Gehlken of the Union-Tribune reports that Chargers OL Ryan Miller suffered a concussion after he slipped to the ground and will now miss the remainder of the 2014 season.

Last year, Miller sustained a concussion that cost him the entire season as well, so this a major concern for his future in the league.

San Diego promoted OL Jeff Baca from their practice squad on Tuesday to take his place on their active roster.

No team has dealt with the kind of injury issues the Chargers have had over the past few years. They have already lost three centers for the season, so this figures to be a real issue for them as they try to get into the playoffs in the coming weeks.

Miller, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Browns. He spent some time with the Broncos before joining the Chargers a few weeks ago. Miller hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2012.

  1. Actually, I can see them in the play-offs OK. However, the Patriots & Broncos will probably decide their fate there one way or the other. There is no shame in losing to either.
