Chargers Place C Doug Legursky On Season-Ending Injured Reserve

The San Diego Chargers announced Monday that they are placing C Doug Legursky on season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury.

Legursky, 28, was carted off the field during Sunday’s win over the Jets, so it was clear that he was dealing with what appeared to be a serious injury. However, this is pretty bad news for San Diego given that they have already lost starting enter Nick Hardwick (neck) is already out for the year.

Legursky is in the final year of his two-year, $1.85 million contract and will be an unrestricted free agent next year. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the worst qualifying center in the league this season.
