Mager, 26, is a former third-round pick by the Chargers in the 2015 NFL Draft. He is entering the third year of aย four-year, $2.994 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 this season.
The Chargers elected to waive him coming out of the preseason in 2017 and quickly signed him to their practice squad. Los Angeles promoted him to their active roster in December of last year.
In 2017, Mager appeared in just two games for the Chargers and no other statistics.
