Chargers Place LB Denzel Perryman On IR, Promote LB Tre’Von Johnson

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Tuesday that they’ve placed LB Denzel Perryman on injured reserve with a knee injury and promoted LB Tre’Von Johnson to their active roster.

  • The Chargers also signed LB Jonathan Celestin to their practice squad.

Here’s the Chargers updated practice squad:

  2. WR Dylan Cantrell
  3. S A.J. Hendy
  4. WR Andre Patton
  5. QB Cardale Jones
  6. G Spencer Drango
  7. TE Vince Mayle
  8. K Michael Badgley
  9. LB Jonathan Celestin

Perryman, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4.776 million contract and set to make a base salary of $750,000 for the 2018 season.

Perryman will be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Perryman appeared in nine games for the Chargers and recorded 51 tackles, no sacks, an interception and two pass defenses.
