Chargers Placing 2nd-Rd Tender On WR Tyrell Williams, Could Still Trade Him

According to Adam Schefter, the Chargers are planning to place a second-round tender on RFA WR Tyrell Williams this week.

Interestingly enough, Schefter says that Williams has drawn interest around the league and could be a trade candidate if teams aren’t willing to part with a second-round pick to get him.

Williams, 26, wound up signing on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Western Oregon back in 2015. He managed to make the Chargers’ 53-man roster the past two years and is in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Chargers and caught 43 passes for 728 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Williams as the news is available.
