Chargers Re-Sign S Adrian Phillips & QB Brad Sorensen, Add Two To PS

The San Diego Chargers announced Wednesday that they’ve re-signed S Adrian Phillips and QB Brad Sorensen to their active roster.

Sorensen, 27, was taken in the seventh round of last year’s NFL draft by the Chargers. He was waived as San Diego trimmed their roster down to 53 players before the start of last season.

The Titans added him to their practice squad a month into the regular season, but he was cut loose just a few days later.

Sorensen returned to the Chargers on a future/reserve contract and has been on and off of the team’s practice squad this season.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Phillips, 23, signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in May of last year. He’s been on and off of the Chargers’ practice squad since then.

This season, Phillips has appeared in six games and recorded 12 tackles for the Chargers.
