Chargers Sign LS Matt Overton, Place DL Cortez Broughton On NFI List

The Los Angeles Chargers announced Friday that they’ve signed LS Matt Overton and placed DL Cortez Broughton on the reserve/non-football illness list.

Overton, 34, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Western Washington back in 2010. He spent a few months in Seattle before catching on with the Colts in 2012.

The Jaguars signed Overton to a contract in 2017 and he’s been on and off of their roster ever since.

In 2018, Overton appeared in 11 games for the Jaguars.
