Chargers Sign ILB Denzel Perryman To Two-Year, $12M Deal

Ian Rapoport reports that the Chargers have agreed to terms on a two-year, $12 million extension with ILB Denzel Perryman.

Recent reports mentioned that the two sides were working to get an extension in place before the start of free agency next week.

Perryman, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $4.776 million contract and made a base salary of $750,000 for the 2018 season.

Perryman is in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Perryman appeared in nine games for the Chargers and recorded 51 tackles, no sacks, an interception and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 32 linebacker out of 92 qualifying players.

We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
