Chiefs Rookie OT Zach Sterup Suspended 4 Games For PED Violation

The NFL announced that Chiefs rookie OT Zach Sterup has been suspended four games for violating the policy on performance-enhancing substances, per Terez A Paylor.

Sterup, 24, wound up going undrafted out of Nebraska back in May, but received an invite to participate in the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The Chiefs later signed him to a three-year, $1.62 million contract.

This suspension will clearly factor into Sterup’s odds of making the 53-man roster in the coming weeks.

Sterup started 17 games for Nebraska during his college career.
