Chiefs TE Tony Moeaki Has Fractured Shoulder, Could Be Placed On IR

Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid announced that TE Tony Moeaki suffered a fractured shoulder during Saturday’s preseason game.

Moeaki will be out indefinitely, as there is no timetable for his return. Moeaki is currently undergoing further tests on his shoulder, but at this point in time, it appears as though he is candidate to end up on the team’s IR list again.

There has been some speculation that Moeaki could end up being a roster cut, now that the Chiefs have added Anthony Fasano and rookie Travis Kelce to their roster.

Moeaki, 26, is in the final year of his rookie contract, so it seems likely that he will be playing elsewhere next year.
