Chiefs Trying Out 40 Players During Rookie Minicamp

The Kansas City Chiefs announced that they’re trying out 40 players during their rookie minicamp this weekend.

Johnson, 26, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of LSU back in 2014. He lasted less than a year in Miami before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season.

From there, Johnson had brief stints with a number of teams including the Redskins, Patriots, and Jets before the Colts signed him to their practice squad during the 2017 season. The Colts released Johnson with an injury settlement in September of last year.

For his career, Johnson has appeared in 22 games and recorded 15 tackles, no sacks and a fumble recovery.
