Chiefs Worked Out 5 Players Including DE Sterling Bailey & DB Brandon McGee

The Kansas City Chiefs brought in five players for workouts on Thursday including DE Sterling Bailey, DT T.J. Barnes, DB Daniel Davie, DB Brandon McGee and DB Tyler Patmon.

Bailey, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but was later signed to their practice squad.

The Colts waived Bailey from their practice squad a few weeks into the regular season. He later caught on with the Seahawks before he was placed on waivers a few days ago.

During his college career, Bailey recorded 107 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and seven pass defenses.

McGee, 25, was taken by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft. He was unfortunately among the team’s roster cuts last year, but later returned to the Rams’ practice squad.

Unfortunately, the Rams cut McGee loose midseason and later signed to the Giants’ practice squad before the Cowboys gave him a one-year, future/reserve contract in January. Dallas later waived him with an injury settlement.

McGee signed on with the Lions during the preseason but was among their early roster cuts.

In 2015, McGee was active for just a single game and did not record a statistic.
