Chiefs Worked Out RB Kerwynn Williams

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Chiefs worked out former Cardinals RB Kerwynn Williams on Friday.

This is the first reported interest in Williams since the free agent market officially opened.

Williams, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Colts back in 2013. He lasted just a few months in Indianapolis before signing on to the Chargers’ practice squad.

The Cardinals would later sign him to their own practice squad and he spent the past four years in Arizona.

Williams is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Williams appeared in all 16 games for the Cardinals and rushed for 426 yards on 120 carries (3.6 YPC) to go along with 10 receptions for 93 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also contributed 326 kick return yards and 137 punt return yards.
