Colt McCoy In Line To Start For Giants On Sunday

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Giants QB Colt McCoy is on track to start on Sunday against the Browns.

Daniel Jones is dealing with ankle and hamstring injuries and it appears as though the Giants believe it’s best to buy him another week to get healthy before returning to game action.

McCoy, 34, is a former third-round pick out of Texas by the Browns back in 2010. He was traded from Cleveland to the 49ers back in 2013 and later signed on with Washington as an unrestricted free agent in 2014.

McCoy made a base salary of $3 million for the 2019 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He signed a contract with the Giants this past March.

In 2020, McCoy has appeared in three games for the Giants and completed 60 percent of his passes for 154 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
