The contract includes a fifth-year option for the Colts to pick up in 2021. It’s worth mentioning that the fifth-year option is only guaranteed for injury and won’t prevent the two parties from working on a long-term extension.
During his four-year college career at Notre Dame, Nelson earned AP Second Team All-American honors in 2016, Sports Illustrated Second Team All-American in 2016, and was the Notre Dame Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2016.
