Colts Sign QB Kerry Collins Out Of Retirement

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay tweets that the team has signed veteran QB Kerry Collins.

Collins retired early on into the offseason but obviously he was willing to play in the right situation. Indy has a decent offense in place with weapons at all of the skill positions so it had to be more appealing than re-signing with the Titans would have been.

Obviously this move illustrates just how concerned the Colts are regarding Peyton Manning’s neck injury. The Curtis Painter and Dan Orlovsky duo haven’t proved to be very effective even against second and third-string defenses so adding Collins at least gives them a shot.
