The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve signed TE Ross Travis to a one-year contract extension.
Travis, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2015. He was on and off of the Chiefs’ practice squad during the 2015 season and later returned to the Chiefs on a future/reserve contract.
Kansas City waived Travis during the 2017 season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Colts. Unfortunately, he spent the 2018 season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
Travis was set to be a restricted free agent this offseason.
In 2017, Travis has appeared in 11 games for the Chiefs and caught five passes for 43 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
