According to Aaron Wilson, the Colts worked out eight players on Tuesday, including veteran K Mike Nugent.

- K Greg Joseph
- WR Jaydon Mickens
- WR Jordan Veasy
Of this group, Indianapolis signed de Beer to their practice squad.
Nugent, 37, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2005. He spent the past six seasons with the Bengals and was in the final year of his two-year, $3.5 million contract when the Bengals cut him loose in December of 2016.
The Giants signed Nugent to a contract during the 2017 season but he was cut loose and caught on with the Cowboys and Bears. The Raiders signed Nugent to a contract during the 2018 preseason before he eventually landed on injured reserve.
Nugent signed with the Patriots in early October but was cut loose after a few weeks. This is the first reported interest in him since becoming a free agent.
In 2019, Nugent has appeared in four games with New England and converted n five of eight field-goal attempts (62.5 percent) and 15 of 16 extra points (93.8 percent for 30 total points.
