John Keim of the Washington Examiner suggests in his Wednesday mailbag Wednesday that Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III could see a decrease in the number of rushing plays he attempts in 2013.
Keim suggests RGIII could still rush the ball 70 times or so this year. And while that may sound like a large number, he is coming off a season where he saw 120 ground plays for 815 yards and seven scores.
Griffin might also want to limit his rushing attempts at first simply until he finds out how healthy his injured knee is at the beginning of the season. Griffin blew out his ACL in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last season in early January.
All reports, as well as Griffin himself, indicate the rehab has gone phenomenal and everything should be in order for the start of the season in September.
