Cowboys Have Expressed Interest In K Kai Forbath, Greg Zuerlein Also On Their Radar

Michael Gehlken reports that the Cowboys expressed interest in re-signing kicker Kai Forbath on Monday.

Gehlken says that while there’s a chance Forbath could return, Dallas also has Rams K Greg Zuerlein on their radar. Zuerlein previously played for new Cowboys special teams coordinator John Fassel while they were together with the Rams.

Forbath, 32, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2011. Forbath had brief stints with the Buccaneers, Redskins, Saints and Vikings before signing on with the Jaguars in 2018.

Jacksonville released Forbath last year and had a short stay with the Patriots before joining the Cowboys in December.

In 2019, Forbath converted 11 of 11 field goal attempts for the Patriots and Cowboys to go along with 11 of 12 extra point tries (91.7 percent)
