David Moore of the Dallas Morning News reports that Cowboys LB Sean Lee is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a hamstring injury he suffered during Monday’s game against the Titans.
On Tuesday, Cowboys HC Jason Garrett said “we anticipate him to be out for a little bit, no question about that.”
Given the timeframe, Lee could be a candidate to be placed on injured reserve in the coming days, as it’s hard for teams to carry injured players on their active roster for a month.
Lee, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2010. He’s currently in the sixth year of his seven-year, $42.63 million that included $16.1 million guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $7 million for the 2018 season.
In 2018, Lee has appeared in five games for the Cowboys and recorded 27 tackles, a half sack, a fumble recovery and a pass defense.
