The Dallas Cowboys announced that they have placed CB Anthony Brown on injured reserve and promoted OT Eric Smith from their practice squad in a corresponding move.
It’s worth mentioning that the NFL changed the rules regarding the injured reserve for the 2020 season and players can return from the list in just three weeks.
Brown, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016. He just finished the final year of his four-year, $2.47 million contract and re-signed him to a three-year back in March.
In 2019, Brown appeared in nine games for the Cowboys and recorded 17 tackles, no interceptions and five pass defenses.
