Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports that a source has informed him that the Cowboys have re-signed restricted free agent C Phil Costa to a two-year deal.
This will allow the Cowboys to keep Costa under team control through the 2014 season at a reduced cap figure. Clearly, this is a win-win situation for the Cowboys as they’re still looking to get under the 2013 salary cap.
He suffered a dislocated ankle that would ultimately end his 2012 season, but the Cowboys reportedly see Costa as the their long-term answer at center.
