Cowboys Sign DT Antwaun Woods & WR Mekale McKay, Waive DT DeQuinton Osborne & G Jay Robertson

Todd Archer of ESPN reports that the Cowboys have signed DT Antwaun Woods and WR Mekale McKay to a contract on Wednesday and placed DT DeQuinton Osborne and G Jay Robertson on waivers.

It took Woods just over a week to find a new opportunity with an NFL team after he was waived by the Titans.

Woods, 25, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in 2016. He was unfortunately among their roster cuts coming out of the preseason during his rookie season before later being signed to the Titans’ practice squad soon after.

Since then, Woods has been on and off of the Titans’ practice squad over his first two years in the NFL. Tennessee brought Woods back on a futures contract this past January before he was waived from injured reserve last week.

In 2016, Woods appeared in one game and recorded three tackles and no sacks.

During his college career at USC, Woods recorded 111 tackles, 13.5 sacks, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses.
